The venue for Acro SF 2018 is Pier 35
Pier 35 is an historic waterfront location venue. Here’s a list of interesting notes about this venue location including information about the 4 separate areas most with floor to ceiling views of the ocean, central location in downtown San Francisco, the benefit of the very large space, it’s location on the waterfront wildlife, and proximity to housing and public transportation.
We reserved the entire Pier including 4 separate areas, most with floor to ceiling views of the ocean
Plaza – Ground floor, the largest space with the highest ceilings. Many classes will be in here. There will be cushioned interlocking mats covering the ground.
Vintage Hall – Ground floor, adjacent to Plaza, with floor to ceiling views of the water, and with cushioned interlocking mats covering the ground. Half of this room has low ceilings appropriate for L-basing. The other half of the room has high ceilings appropriate for standing, parkour and poi.
Sky View – Upstairs with floor to ceiling views of the water, for morning yoga and therapeutic sessions.
Lounge – Upstairs area with floor to ceiling views of the water, next to Sky View, for therapeutic session overflow or quiet lounge area for stretching and meditation.
Proximity to fun San Francisco sights
Acro SF is walking distance from most of the top-10 things to visit in San Francisco including Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Pier 39, Crissy Field, Palace of Fine Arts, Downtown, Coit Tower, Ferry Building, and AT&T Ballpark.
100,000 square feet of indoor waterfront property. This makes Acro SF the largest acro and movement festival in the world. Having this much space allows us to have more classes, more space per class, and to host classes that require a lot of space like parkour, stunting, poi
On the water
Pier 35 is a pier, that sits on top of the San Francisco bay. When we made the first site visit we saw dolphins 🐬 feeding and playing out the window of the Sky View area. Here’s a video of a similar sighting near Pier 35. The room where we saw the dolphins from is the same room where Acro SF will host morning yoga. We’re hoping for the same type of magic during Acro SF.
The cruise boats won’t be there while we’re there to block our view of the water while we’re there, thankfully, but this overhead view give you a sense of scale and position on the water.
Proximity to public transport and parking
Acro SF is a 20-minute walk to the ferry terminal and BART, and a 20-minute Lyft to Caltrain. We’re 1-mile to $9 daily parking, and next-door to $30 daily parking, learn more about parking.
